Furniture and mattresses- Now with fully erected buildings; we received a major donation from our friends in Florida, providing 50 brand new mattresses for all of our children.

Water- Before our arrival, the kids had to go down to the village to carry water buckets up to the orphanage everyday. We were able to build artisanal water well, providing the kids with access to water everyday at any time. With the water now situated on the property, our next project will be to start an irrigation system to provide them with the ability to start and maintain their own self-sustaining eco farm.

 We went from sleeping on the floor in shelters and tents to having four full concrete buildings housing the younger children. One dormitory for the girls, a separate building for the boys, a school, and a centralized community center equipped with showers, kitchen facilities, and an active residence for Pr. Julien and his wife. Currently the inside and outside of the buildings are being painted. The kids finally have a real house to live in.

The School: Our biggest project which is still under construction, but also already in use, is the school providing over 5 different classrooms. We have a principal there on site everyday and 3 different teachers offering classes by age daily. The children also have an orchestra and we are now happy to be able to provide them with extra-curricular activities. They love music!

Chickens- In 2016 we supplied the orphanage with 50 chickens, which were used for eggs, food supply and as a bartering exchange for other fruits and vegetables. The chickens were also used as a source of income for the orphanage.
